An art gallery and painting studio on West Venice Avenue.
One room holds original paintings by Gulf Coast artists. The room behind it holds twelve easels, a sink, and enough cadmium to ruin a good shirt. Come for either. Most people end up doing both.
Free to walk in. Tue–Sat 10–6, Sun 12–4.
Represented artists
2 artists, and you can usually meet them
We represent working painters, sculptors, and printmakers from the region. Several of them teach here, which means the person who made the piece on the wall might be the person who shows you how to mix that colour.
The studio
A gallery with a sink in the back
Most galleries are quiet rooms you tiptoe through. Most art classes happen in a strip mall with fluorescent light. We could not see a good reason to keep those two things apart, so M and N Art is one address with both.
- Twelve easels, north light, and a real sink
- Twelve students maximum, most classes run eight to ten
- Materials included in every beginner class
- Wheelchair accessible, street parking and the Nokomis Ave lot
